Handling data in F# |
| Microsoft's "new" language F# is a hybrid that brings functional programming techniques together with object-oriented approaches and metaprogramming ideas. It is possible to use LINQ to work with data, which seems to make things easy for some of us. In the traditional FP world, data storage is considered an (undesirable?) side effect, and so there are techniques like storing data in functions and optimizing execution using memoization that might influence programming with data in F#. After a quick F# primer, this session provides an overview of the topic from different angles. |
